About the Farm
Welcome to Serendipity Farm Sanctuary, a dedicated 509(a)(2) public charity located just south of the Virginia border in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Our sanctuary is a loving refuge for farm animals in need, providing them with compassionate care and a safe haven. Serendipity Farm Sanctuary was established with the vision of creating a peaceful environment where every animal is valued, respected, and loved. Our beautiful farm spans acres of lush, green pastures, providing ample space for our rescued animals to roam and thrive. We are committed to fostering an inclusive community that prioritizes the well-being and dignity of all creatures, promoting awareness and education on animal welfare issues.
What We Do
At Serendipity Farm Sanctuary, our core mission revolves around rescue, rehabilitation, and responsible rehoming efforts for farm animals. We rescue animals from neglect, abuse, and abandonment, offering them a second chance at life. Our rehabilitation programs focus on restoring their health and well-being through veterinary care, proper nutrition, and loving attention. We offer many of these animals a permanent safe loving haven with us. Others, once rehabilitated, we work diligently to find appropriate homes where they can live out their lives in peace and safety. In addition to rescue operations, we engage in educational outreach to raise awareness about animal welfare and advocate for compassionate living. Through spoken word and example we inspire others to join us in making a positive impact on the lives of farm animals in need.
Who We Are
Serendipity Sanctuary is a family-run public charity nonprofit led by Michele Pulis and her daughter Elysian, with the support of dedicated family members and friends. Our team is passionate about animal welfare and committed to creating a sanctuary where every animal is treated with love and respect. Michele’s lifelong love of farm animals and Elysian’s youthful passion for animal rescue drive the heart of our operations. Our volunteers are an integral part of our sanctuary family, contributing their time, skills, and love to ensure the animals receive the best care possible. Together, we work tirelessly to uphold our mission and create a sanctuary that embodies compassion and kindness.
